McQueen's Ferrari drives up to auction block
It's a Ferrari, of course. A 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, one of 350 made and, according to Christie's auction house, "the world's finest surviving example."
From 1963 until sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s, it was owned and driven by actor Steve McQueen, quite possibly the coolest man on the planet in those years.
Until today, when it goes up for auction in Monterey, it's owned by Mike Regalia of Thousand Oaks. He's not the coolest man alive, but he's had his hands on some very cool cars.
